This annual retreat will be held 3 days 2 nights in a Chinese city. The retreat will provide an opportunity for open discussions on feminism in academic, social, cultural, and spiritual areas. The goal of the retreat is to provide a safe and supportive environment for open dialogues on issues of gender, sexuality, and social construction of gender roles. The project will also provide skill building opportunities and resources sharing networks, practically on issues of identifying and confronting discrimination and violence prevention. The project will also help seek needs assessment for future support in women’s health and well being in China. After perfection, this retreat can be held and co-sponsored by any local organizations who are interested in bring it to the local communities.
